A daunting opening hole for short hitters, but a good drive will easily clear the lakes. Stay clear of the deep bunker on the left and the trees on the right.
The green is well protected by bunkers on the left and right and a swale on the right side making getting up and down difficult for wayward approach shots. A par on this hole is a good start to the Lake course.

The Quarry course is designed around a former quarry site and cuts through steep limestone quarries. Holes 3-5 in particular are unique and world class and features Robert Trent-Jones' most dramatic work.

Dune Course
The Dune course is characterised by hilly terrain and sweeps across dense bushland.
Contoured greens with tiered landing areas and thick scrub surrounding the fairways are a feature of the Dune.
