The Third Hole on the Dune Course

This hole plays from an elevated tee to a wide landing area split in two by a spine of thick rough. However, a drive left will disappear into a patch of thick bush and to the right OOB, which continues up the right side and around a rocky area below the bunker. A large rock, “Carricks Head”, may also snooker a good drive down the right side. The approach shot is uphill and enquires careful club selection to land in the correct location on the green.
A bunker front left, and grassy hollow right will catch wayward shots. Short of the green will end up back down the slope making a get up and down difficult. The green slopes from back to front with a hump in the back portion making long putts extremely difficult.

Contoured greens with tiered landing areas and thick scrub surrounding the fairways are a feature of the Dune.
